Get A Matchmaker To Play the Role of Cupid

The concept of playing the role of Cupid is likely older than the winged cherub himself. Just as it is natural for friends and family to want to see us happily matched with special someone, it is also natural for many of us to want the glory of playing hero to those we care about who don’t have that significant other. Matchmakers, have helped many of us find happiness. Well, we don’t always call them matchmakers. Sometimes, we call them Mom, our best friend from college, Pastor (or, more likely, the Pastor’s wife), our dentist, etc. The simple fact is every eligible bachelor or bachelorette has at least one matchmaker in their lives.

Unfortunately this fact has its downside for the matchmaker and those being matched. Ouromancprosr friends and family may not know what type of partner we really need. These Cupids will inevitably see our romance needs through their own interpretations of who we are and what type of mate will make us happy. Not that this is always bad, sometimes we don’t know what type of mate will make us happy either. However, when traditional matchmaking is unsuccessful, not only can it be a frustrating experience for those hoping to make a love connection, but the matchmaker is denied all chances of making that special “I told you it would work” wedding toast.

Today’s hi-tech world of computers and the Internet offers a new twist on the tradition of matchmaking. There are many new options and opportunities available for those of us who are single and seeking. Online matchmaking services are now in the mainstream and can help those looking for that special someone to make a connection in a low intensity, low pressure environment. These services are not just a way of meeting new people, but a way to make certain that you are meeting the right new people. You can get to know about them before even introducing yourself. Using an online service can also help define out of all the possibilities, what things are most important to us in making a romantic match. Then, once you’ve got one or more potential matches, you can make that all important first impression in a controlled, tension free environment. Once you’ve made the initial connection, you can get to know the person a great deal before meeting them for the first time. This is a vast improvement on the traditional scenario, where we nervously wait to be introduced to someone our best friend’s wife says is perfect for us.

Now, these new methods of matchmaking might not go over well with our well-meaning matchmakers out there. What they need to know is that not only are these new options a good alternative for those they would play cupid for, online matchmaking services can provide them with a few benefits as well. First, it can prevent those failed matches that they will have to take responsibility for. Second, and most importantly, they provide a way to obtain that desired glory of matchmaking without the risk of failure.

How can this be? Well, Cupid still gets the credit for the successful connection even if they just point their loved ones in the right direction. Show those you care about how they might find love and you get the accolades without having to do the searching for them. Either way; for those needing to be find love and those looking to help, a good Internet matchmaking service could be the way to go.
