Take Your Time

take your timeIn life we tend to rush with everything. We don’t want to wait. We want to hurry up and pay the bills. Hurry up and feed the kids. Hurry up and get to work. Hurry. Hurry. Hurry. This can make life go by without us even knowing it. Before you know it a year has passed and you can’t remember if you even enjoyed yourself. Many people do the same thing with dating. They want to hurry up and find that perfect match. Unfortunately, it takes time to find that perfect match. The first date you go on isn’t going to lead you to the perfect match. The first person you meet isn’t going to be the perfect match. Everything with dating takes time. That’s why you date so that you can find that perfect match. Once you have found the person you believe to be your perfect match, you date them some more so that you can learn more about them. This helps you to really determine if they are your perfect matches. Dating is the time it takes to find that perfect person and develop a solid relationship with them.

It doesn’t have to be hard. It only becomes hard when you want it in an instant. Thinking that you can find the right match in an instant will only set you up for failure. You will think that this date is going to be it and when it isn’t you will want to give up. This cycle will continue until you give up the theory that you can find your perfect match in an instant. You have to learn to take your time. When you stop to take your time, you will find that you were really missing out on the fun that can come with dating when you stop and smell the roses. Instead of rushing through your dating life and being so serious of finding that perfect person, you should take the time to enjoy the people that you are going out on date with. Instead of writing them off as a waste of time learn some thing new about them. When you learn to experience dating rather than just plowing through at the speed of lightening, you will see that you were missing out on so much. You may even notice that you were going so fast that you rushed right past that person that could’ve turned into your perfect match.

It takes time to determine if a person is your perfect match. It won’t just hit you on the first date. It will take a couple of dates before you realize that this person just may be the one. You may have missed out on your perfect person by rushing through and expecting the feeling to happen on the first date. If you ever find yourself rushing through your dating life and writing people off after only the first date, you should remind yourself to stop and take your time. What you are looking for comes in time. It may not be your time but it will come in time.
